Collection: CAST Freetour 1.0

CAST is a binding system invented by the late freeskier Ryan Hawks and brothers Lars and Silas Chickering-Ayers. After Ryan's death, Lars and Silas completed the product and named the company "CAST", which means "a flock of hawks", in honor of Ryan. Eventually, Silas won the Freeride World Tour, demonstrating the CAST philosophy.

The CAST Freetour was developed with a simple concept in mind: increase access to the mountain while maintaining the ability to get the most out of your skiing with a reliable and secure binding system.

With Lars and Silas still in charge of operations, CAST has grown into a full-capacity in-house binding manufacturer with the best prototyping, machining, and manufacturing capabilities. Located in Driggs, in the heart of the Teton Range, CAST continues to create the best products today in a favorable environment where they develop gear and test it in the mountains behind them.

CAST Freetour is an innovative touring binding system that is a modified version of LOOK's Pivot 15 or 18. When hiking up, you attach the Tech Toe piece and walk, and when skiing down, you use it in combination with the Pivot toe piece. Please see the product page for details.
