BINDING FREEDOM Insert Installation Tap

The BINDING FREEDOM Insert Installation Tap is a specially designed tool that is essential for installing the BINDING FREEDOM Threaded Insert .

5/16-18 Bottoming Tap. After drilling a 9.5mm deep hole with the BINDING FREEDOM Insert Install Drill , this tap is used to ensure that the threads are cut all the way to the bottom of the hole in order to install the BINDING FREEDOM Threaded Insert .

Standard taps do not bottom out, and not all taps that claim to bottom out actually do so.

This tap is designed for cutting wood and metal, and has four blades instead of the usual three-blade taps. The blades are machined all the way to the tip, allowing you to cut a straight thread all the way to the bottom of the hole.

The tap size is 6mm, so please use a tap handle (or tap holder) that is compatible with 6mm.
