Freetour 2.0 2nd Ski Kit Look Pivot Brake Set (2024)

The CAST Freetour 2.0 2nd Ski Kit Look Pivot Brake Set is a convenient set for using the CAST Freetour 2.0 Pivot 15/18 on multiple skis at a low cost.

*Please note that this set is not compatible with the brakes of the CAST Freetour 2.0 Pivot 2.0 15/18, which was released for the 2025-2026 season. If you are looking for that, please purchase it here.

By pre-installing this set on another pair of skis, you can use the CAST Freetour 2.0 Pivot 15/18 quickly and easily by simply tightening four screws.

The Look Pivot heel piece (or brake) is very difficult to attach and detach, and even if the holes are drilled accurately, considerable experience is required to precisely mount it to the ski center. This set is also recommended if the ski width differs or if you want to avoid damaging the screw holes in your skis due to repeated attachment and detachment.

If you do not have a spare brake and detach the heel piece itself each time

Pivot 15/18 heel piece (brake) with 4 screws per side x both skis = 8 removals/attachments

Pros: Lower cost (due to the price of the Look Pivot Brake)

Cons: Tedious replacement work, difficult to mount to the ski center, even if screws are tightened with accurate torque, repeated removals/attachments will damage the screw holes in the ski and eventually make it impossible to attach the heel piece.

If you have a spare brake

Pivot 15/18 heel piece fore-aft adjustment rod with 2 screws per side x both skis = 4 removals/attachments

Pros: Easy and quick replacement work, once mounted to the ski center, no further adjustment is needed, prevents damage to the ski's screw holes.

Cons: Slightly higher cost (due to the price of the Look Pivot Brake)
